Nxew - Web Developer
Nxew (North by East West) is an initiative to raise awareness of local Ottawa artists. The general premise is that Ottawa based musicians would make a playlist of 15 tracks of other Ottwawa/Canadian artist that they found inspirational. This ongoing project in conjunction with Ottawa’s Pop Drone has completed the first development iteration and can be visited at nxew.mehaul.me Using the Yii framework I developed the preliminary foundation for this web based solution. SoundCloud API integration users can add playlist tracks and utilizing Toneden-SDK users could listen to those tracks. The UI is constructed with Bootstrap to accommodate for a fluid mobile responsive design. Client UI manipulation and RESTFUL APIs are accomplished with JQuery.
